2 Excellent Fernet Cocktails!
In this video I give you an introduction on AMARO. We'll also be making 2 cocktails with Fernet (and a bonus shot!) A lot of people fear or dislike Fernet, and I can understand that. It is an acquired taste! Herbal, medicinal, a little minty and strong. Not for everyone..By itself that is! But I do highly recommend you to try the Midnight Stinger to ease into it, think a more herbal "Whiskey Sour" kinda drink! Or the classic Toronto for a more stiff, "Old Fashioned" sort of drink.
Toronto
1/4 oz (7.5ml) Simple Syrup
3/4 oz (22.5ml) Fernet
2 oz (60ml) Rye Whiskey
Stir and serve over ice. Orange twist
Midnight Stinger
3/4 oz (22.5ml) Simple Syrup
3/4 oz (22.5ml) Lemon Juice
1 oz (30ml) Fernet
1 oz (30ml) Bourbon
Quick shake, serve over pebble ice and garnish with mint sprig.
