RCG-Smash: The Summer Cocktail You've been Missing

This is a fantastic little summer cocktail I created a few years back, while working at Park Hyatt in New York City. It is super straightforward, easy to make, and perfect when you want to switch up the classic Whiskey Smash. And oh so delicious!

2 dashes Angostura Bitters

4-5 Raspberries

1/2 oz (15ml) Cinnamon Syrup (see recipe below)

1/2 oz (15ml) Ginger Syrup (see video or post!)

3/4 oz (22.5ml) Fresh Lemon Juice

1 1/2 - 2 oz (45-60ml) Rye Whiskey

Quick shake, serve over crushed ice. Garnish with mint and raspberry.

Cinnamon Syrup

Make a simple syrup (1:1 sugar and water heated to dissolve) Throw a couple of cinnamon sticks in the syrup and let it infuse for a couple of hours or a day (depending on how much simple you make and how many sticks you have) This really is no science. Just let it infuse until it tastes like cinnamon!
